October 31: 1870–Henry & 1918–Ella

 

Henry:  1870–Mon. Oct 31  Went to store from Ferrisburg to day.  (Quiet) in morning.  Milked cow to house.  Blacked stove to house.  Had a gay time with Bill Sherlock (?). . .

 

Ella:  1918–Thurs.,31  Rain.  Karl comes out & takes the apples to the cider mill.  Anna goes to the station to meet Mrs. Miller, who does not come.  Finish 2 little petticoats for Marguerite.  Sew for Grace.  Make 2 mince pies.  Anna goes to meet Eva Meigs, on nothing.  (sic)
