December 9: 1870–Henry & 1918–Ella

1870–Henry:  Fri., Dec. 9  In store all day.  Father carried aunt & uncle of St. (Laurince?) county to (?)  left Nell to (Stern & ?) out home  had a good time.  O Nell how I love you.

1918–Ella:  Mon., 9  Rather mild.  Tuttle goes to Bristol & from there to Middlebury.  Karl comes up–sweeps out barn & hen house.  Write Warner, Stanley Braithwaite, S.S. Times.  Card to Herbert B. Phillips & Benoit go into the double house.  pay $2.25.  (punctuation sic)
