Thurs., 20  A good day with sunshine in the afternoon. Meet Mrs. W. D. on the street & go with her to Kate’s call on Mrs. Hindes who is having a poor day. Call on Mrs. Eagan & Tuttle picks me up there. A coat of ice in places on the river & a line of ice along the shore. Work on rug in the evening. Make a call which I may tell about later. make a custard pie for dinner. Letter from Gertrude.
