December 3, 1924

Wed., 3  Black Wednesday. Clouds & raw wind. Have 2 heart attacks this morning. Hattie Taylor comes after dinner. Sam & Lee bring her aunt & stay for a little while their grist is grinding. Visit until 11 o’clock.

In my bird’s eye view map of Vergennes (date unknown) I see  a “Norton’s Flouring Mills” in the key, but the numbers are so tiny I can’t find it along the river. Does anyone know where it was? Interesting that it was still going in 1924.
