January 29, 1926

Fri., 29  The coldest night of the winter so far–a beautiful moonlit night–windows heavily frosted. Find warmth & comfort in bed to-night. This is my New Year’s Day & I am 73. Receive a guest towel from Grace, a syrup cup from Karl, Warner & Henrietta, a lovely bag from Ruth & a box of chocolates from Ben. Henrietta & Warner come out after dinner & Karl comes after chores. We have supper on the dining room table.
