July 5, 1926

Mon., 5  A lovely day. Jacob cleans the hen house & works in the cellar. Grace makes a cake & some sandwiches. We have kale for greens, which is fine. Mrs. Staunton, Woodman & two little daughters take Grace to ride, after which they make us a call. Tuttle goes to Bristol. Barrows does the machine mowing, in the home lot. I pick & hull a few wild strawberries. They grow in the orchard.
