Wed., 21  The hottest day yet. Mr. Barrows draws in the hay. Met & family, Grace & I go out to Karl’s for a few minutes. I make two strawberry shortcakes for supper. Met & Anna collect their belongings & go to the cottage. Write Ben. A letter from Ruth.
