Fri., 23 We go again to Burlington. Tuttle & I have a treatment & Grace changes a pair of shoes that do not fit. We find a drive over a crossroad near the Lake that shortens the “detour.” There are two detours between here & Burlington. Fine hay weather & farmers are busy. Grace goes with Mrs. Patterson to L’Ecole Champlain. Helen comes to-night from Gardiner, Me, where she has been for two weeks. Miss Lewis calls on Grace, who is absent.
