October 8, 1926

Fri., 8  Slept well last night. Have a late breakfast & do quite a little shopping & back to Helen’s to dinner which seems quite a stunt. Go at 2 o’clock for a treatment at Dr. Eddy’s. Henrietta & Tuttle come after me. We stop at Helen’s for my packages & then home. Letters from Jeanette, Anna, Gertrude & Helen. Get a wrist watch with my two old watches and $9.00 in money.

In the Accounts Section in the back of the diary:

Trip total was $43.36, minus $16.00 for two watches,

so $27.36 in all.

She bought 2 union suits @$2.00,

15 cents worth of cheese, among other things.

The bus cost 85 cents and the taxi 50 cents.
