January 23, 1929

Wed. 23  Finish & type “Gordon Grey.” Send it with a letter to sister Helen. Letters from Mary Royce & Mac Cooper Ward. Sew the lace onto Grace’s pink costume. Wash breakfast dishes, get dinner & a nap. Kate Dalrymple calls. A cold wind blows all day. Grace attends the “As You LIke It” and has part in a play they put on. I get snugly ready to go to sleep & have a heart attack. Therefore I do not go to sleep until after midnight.
