January 29, 1929

Tues., 29   This is my birthday. Still zero & a stiff gale from the north. Dumas washes but cannot put out the clothes. Karl & Henrietta come to celebrate my birthday. She brings a lovely cake decorated with red candles & a real red tulip in the center. We have dinner & play bridge white Dumas does up the work. Letters from the children. Ruth 2 salters, Tuttle 2 salters. Helen an outing night dress. Grace, framed picture of B’s children. Hattie, a sofa pillow. Henrietta a lamp shade, a box of soap 2 bath towels & a box of ginger. A nice birthday. Grace has a severe cold.

Ella Fisher turned 76 today.
