Sun., 3   A grey morning but the sun comes out afternoon and the porch is warm eough to sit in. Karl & Henrietta do not come because of our colds. I wash the dishes & get dinner. Write the Bulletin. Anna & Alvin are in Savannah. Letter from Helen. Read a little. Hear Rev. Kerr of Shadyside at night. Write a little. Write Virginia a note of thanks. Churches are closed to-day on account of the flu.

There was a flu epidemic raging in 1929.
