February 9, 1929

Sat., 9  A gray day. snowing all day. Card from Anna, letter from Gertrude. Finish the dress I began Monday which makes me elated to think I can still get away with it. Get a bath which is another opportunity put to good use. Strength and opportunity are the ingredients of success. Mary Ross & Mrs. Patterson call just as dusk. Mrs. Morganson dies today in a Burlington hospital, also John Beak, a poor laboring man. I guess he had no home.
