February 15, 1929

Fri., 15  Several blinding snowstorms during the morning. Sun comes out afternoon. Book-of-the-Month “Kristin Lavransdotter” by Sigrid Undset   & Walter Coates “Land of Allen.”  (Coates was a Vermont publisher—I expect this was not a book of the month)  Do no work, except I help get the dinner. Sew a little. Let the bird out for a little exercise. He dumps a lot and does not sing, except on rare occasions. Letter from Sister Helen who thinks of going abroad. Grace attends a whist party at Brownell’s. Kate Dalrymple comes for her & brings her home.
