Tues., 16  Lawrence Austin dies. Morning devotions. Dumas comes & does the housework. Mrs. Patterson comes up in the afternoon for rehearsal. The rain still pours. Letter from Helen of New Britain. Better but being careful. Receive from the Library “The History of a Vermont Novelist (Daniel P. Thompson, author of “Green Mt. Boys)” (punctuation sic)

(I can’t find the “Vermont Novelist” book referenced.)
