April 24, 1929

Wed., 24  Morning devotions.  Ben goes to Dead Creek before I am up. Mrs. Currier comes up to do the dishes & Grace goes to Winterbotham’s. Bull-pouts for dinner, which I get. Ben goes to St. Albans at 2-30. Henrietta comes with her Mother Field. Mrs. Patterson & Della Ingham call. Grace comes at 6 P.M.  Letter from Cousin Fay. Spend the day recruiting, as so many of my days are spent.

Recruiting for what, I wonder?
