Wed., 19 Morning devotions. Another hot day. Grace goes down to practice in the morning & Howard runs around doing nothing. Tuttle attends a Bank meeting in Middlebury afternoon. I rip up the dress I sewed on yesterday & sew it over again. Wind, thunder & lightning but no rain for us. Grace attends the Alumni Banquet at the Community House, furnished by LeBon. Rain & electric fireworks in the sky in the evening. Do not sleep until midnight.
