July 3, 1929

Wed., 3  Morning devotions.  Ruth cans more cherries which I help stone. Make a butterscotch pie. Ruth gives me a ride after dinner in her new Chrysler car.  We go to Martin’s Corner, call on Mrs. Chas Dean & go to Dakin’s for  strawberries, two baskets at 20 cents per. Enjoy the ride, the fresh air, and Mrs. Dean’s courtesy. Tuttle goes to a Bank meeting in Middlebury. He & I make 4 glasses of mint jelly.
