Sat., 31 The closing of a very busy week. Morning devotions. Help get dinner, have my nap, then Ruth invites me to ride. We go to the Cottage. The Guernsey people meet on the shore of the Bay. Henrietta comes over to the Cottage with some ladies & children who go in swimming. Meet Mrs. Reynolds of Middlebury, sister of Bell Wright. Have ice cream. Then we call on Ecole Champlain. Mrs. Collins invites us to supper. We accept. Have a nice supper & come immediately home. Grace just got home. An accident on the road in Charlotte. A man killed.
