September 11, 1929

Wed., 11  Finish  “The Bonney Family” by Ruth Suckow.  Morning devotions. A clear day, much cooler. Sister Helen’s letter, with her trunk key & her luggage at the Station which the Norton’s (sic) bring up. Put up some tomatoes. Shake out Helen’s dresses & hang them in the closet. Grace attends the Mission meeting. A luncheon set & nice white cloth comes from Ruth. I write her a short letter of thanks. I am bewildered.

So am I. Why, I wonder?
