Fri., 13  Morning devotions. This is Ruth’s birthday. Grace & Miss Miles go to the Lodge, Basin Harbor, and Mrs. Crysler’s place. I have dinner nearly ready when they come back. Mrs. Cotey comes & takes a measure for a new corset. Miss Miles goes back to Middlebury. A wire from sister Helen that she will be here to-morrow. Book-of-the-Month” comes is “Ultima Thule.” (sic)  Use Ruth’s white lunch cloth for dinner.
