November 14, 1929

Thurs., 14  Morning devotions.  Make a large apple pie for the dinner at Frank Warner’s which Grace attends. Mrs. Brown invites me to her party, where I meet some old friends & some new and have a very enjoyable afternoon. Write Dorothy Allen & in today’s Rutland Herald is a poem she sent me in a letter. Grace attends a covered dish supper at the Congregational church. The light is all turned off in the night & we have no street light.
