December 18, 1929

Wed., 18  Morning devotions.  The Collins girl is not well enough to come to-day & Grace has it alone. A little sleet falls all day. Mrs. Geo. E. Stone is buried to-day & Mrs. Allen Vittum is brought from Middlebury for buriel (sic). I see the procession of 3 cars come in on the state road. Everything is coated with ice & travel dangerous. Telephone out of commission.

Hi Mary — you are a person of very regular habits, and maybe Ella was too. I note that today’s road conditions resemble those on this day in 1929! I couldn’t get up the road all the way to work.
