Sat., Jan. 9  Morning devotions.  Hazy all day, except in the morning when we did have sunshine. Fix a slip. Finish & mail Ben’s letter. Send poem “Moonlit Night” to Hindley. Susanna Booth & Clara Pullman call. Dumas clearing out the rooms. We do no hustling. Letter from Gertrude.
