January 15, 1932

Fri., Jan 15  Morning devotions. A day of “interval” rain. The mocking bird comes to feed. Make a custard & a mince pie. Henrietta comes to dinner.  She and Grace put up a picnic dinner & Karl goes home to be there at noon with Warner, while Henrietta stays to dinner with us. He comes for her toward night. Grace goes to Mrs. Haven’s for a com meeting. Hindley criticises (in the Herald) (sic) the quatrains in the “Vermonter” put in by Dorcas Palmer, the poetry editor.  There are 106 in the last issue of that magazine.A letter from Mrs. Goodere (B & B) Send Ruth a check for $14.15.

I don’t think “B & B” is a bed and breakfast, but I have no idea what it is.
