January 24, 1932 & a letter from Henry to Ben

Sun., Jan. 24  The sun shines to-day. Did not sleep well last night. The mocking bird comes for a bite to eat. Henrietta comes & Karl & Warner go to church. Grace also & she goes down in the evening. I get part of 2 sermons between 5 & 6 o’clock but the static is awful. Tuttle gives me a ride to No. Ferrisburg. I write the Bulletin which is a real stunt.

Henry wrote this letter to Ben in June of 1916, and Henry died in November of that year. Thanks to the Vergennes Historical Society and Susan Ferland for scanning and sending it to me.
