January 27, 1932 & some rough drafts

Wed., 27  (“ 2nd” is written in the upper left corner of the page and occasionally other numbers are written there. I have no idea why.) Morning devotions. After a rainy night clouds. Henrietta comes for an all-day visit. Do the morning work & get dinner. Mocking bird comes for his dinner. Hem 6 dish clothes & 4 kitchen towels. Turn the hems of 8 more ready for stitching.  47 cases of small-pox in Hinesburg and one man just died with it.  People in Ferrisburg and Vergennes exposed to it.

It looks like ideas for some stories at the bottom of this scrap–the one about the “two daughters” is most interesting!
