Mon., 4  Morning devotions. A day of sunshine. The mocking-bird stays around till afternoon. Sort the Sunday papers, clean 2 cupboard shelves. Wash napkins & stockings. Mend stockings. Letter from Ruth. She arrived at Anna’s at 1-30 Saturday. Rained all the way. She went on to Lou’s for the night. Write Stanton Muzzy with an order for 2 books. Grace goes to the State School where the Forest & Field club meet there to-night. (sic)
