Mon., 18  Morning devotions.  Do the morning work. Make a custard pie. The bird comes to feed. Mrs. Neville & Benton come to see him & get a good view of him from the road. They hear him sing. Finish the manuscript for “Homeward” which I wrap & send to Macmillan.
