April 29, 1932

Fri., 29  Morning devotions.  A day of sunshine, warm as summer.  I make an applesauce cake Miss Sessions calls for Kurn Hattin. Grace goes to the planting of a tree in school house yard, for this is Arbor day. I finish the green broadcloth & put it on. I call it a sport dress because of the color. Grace & Tuttle slam doors. It gets on my nerves. I jump at every slam as that is the first intimation I have that anyone is near.
