May 15, 1932

Sun., 15  Quite warm. Grace goes with Lillian Lewis to Lake Dunmore, Karl & family go with the Deans on a picnic. There is no service in our church. Mr. Hagar in Montpelier attending a Convention. Letters from Gertrude & Anna. Grace has one from Ruth. I write Ruth, but Henrietta & family come in the evening & I do not write the other children. Also received a letter from “Aunt Jennie Burke,” a lovely letter which I will answer soon. Howard comes in the evening & we buy a pike of him. Have a nice ride to Bristol & Monkton ridge. A big fire in the Adirondacks. Very dry, no rain.
