Tues., 17  Write Ben. Some things Ruth selected come from McCutcheon.  Morning devotions.  Dumas washes & irons. I mend on stockings. Mrs. Chapman of Midd. calls. She comes in to see me & finds her pretty lost pin on me that I found on the ground 2 years ago. I am glad she found it altho I loved it. Nor do I want her things or anothing else that belongs to another. “Take heed & beward of covetousness.”  It is greed that overcomes so many weak humans. A change in the weather. Cooler but no rain. We do need rain.
