Wed., 25  Morning devotions.  A summer day. Grace goes with Mr. Otis to Burlington, working in the Holt garden. Meantime the friend of the aged Mrs. Driscoll come (sic) for her funeral pieces & George makes them. Tuttle takes me out to Henrietta’s. She gives me a bunch of white lilacs. Her lilacs are beautiful & this is Lilac day. Do part of the ironing. Dig dandelions & clean them. Ansswer Ruth’s letter. Package from Sear, Roebuck (sic)
