Tues., 5 Morning devotions. Get a pan of greens. Look them over between drips, finish and wash them at night. Alvin, Anna, Grace, Tuttle & I cross Champlain Bridge & go to Lake George, a short distance below Sabbath Bay Point. We had never been there & I found it most beautiful. Stop at Fort Ti on our return. Get some vases at the pottery cottage, but do not go into the other buildings. We leave home at 1 o’clock & arrive there at 8 p.m. Alvin drives Tuttle’s car. The day is perfect & the trip is very wonderful. A & A (sic) go out to Karl’s for the night. Letter from Wightman Melton.
