Thurs., 7  Morning devotions. Dumas washes & irons. The day is fine until toward night when we get a deluge of a thunderstorm. Strawberry shortcake for dinner. Warner & Connie walk out & Grace gets them a picnic supper. Anna has a headache & the picnic plan does not materialize. Note from Walter Coates, who accepts “The Glory of Kings” for Driftwind. Write daughter Helen.
