July 16, 1932

Sat., 16  Morning devotions. A fine hay day & all the farmers taking advantage of it. Make a cherry pie. Finish canning the cherries. Have 20 cans. Get dinner, a strawberry shortcake. Letter from Gertrude. Clean & cook a chicken. Ride to N.H. Junction, then to Chalker Corner and to Middlebury, via Quaker Village. Tired with the extra work to-day. Dana Woodman, wife & mother & a Miss Davenport call.
