Sat., 30  Morning devotions. Much cooler, Make 2 raspberry pies Clean beets & carrots, get dinner, etc. Clean & cook chicken for to-morrow. Mary Ross & Miss Prost call. Go out to Henrietta’s after supper. Letters from Helen & Gertrude. A fire in the new milk plant building guts one floor. A workman falls thru a hole, strikes his head & dies on the way to the hospital. Leaves 5 children & a wife nearly dead with cancer. Live in the small house in Depot Hollow. Wilma $5.00.
