August 2, 1932 and Henrietta’s painting

Tues., 2  Morning devotions. Dumas washes & irons. Finish gleaning the red currants. Put 2 baskets of raspberries with them. Make 17 glasses of jelly. Send Campaign Song to Rockwood, Hindley, Bennington, St. Albans & Detroit Free Press. Perhaps I’ll see it somewhere. A good hay day. We go out to Karl’s after supper & see their new washer. A box of ginger from Anna. Letters from Mrs. Lee Rice, Susie’s daughter & Lulu Durand.

And here is a photo of a painting by Henrietta, sent me recently. With everything else she did, it’s amazing she had time to paint!
