June 9, 1933

Fri., 9   Morning devotions. Very poor.  Do the morning work, get the dinner. Cut some flowers to carry to Cynthia. When Henrietta comes it is so hot we decide not to go. A little child, 6 years old at Ferrisburg Center, run over & instantly killed. Henrietta goes to the parents. They cannot be comforted. The truck driver not to blame. Henrietta stays to supper. Letters from Poultney & Brandon.
