Sat., 9   Morning devotions. Rain last night. Dumas comes for a sweeping day. Make a custard, mince & apple pies,  one of each. Grace still making funeral pieces, these for Sam Preston, who died of shock & was ill but an hour. Taking a terrible cold. Hope I can get over it.Letter from Anna. Write Stanton Muzzy, also Anna________the Poetry Director.
