Mon., 30    it is Dectoracion Day and I went with Brown to get (unreadable?) to uncle Ben’s   Oh, the spelling!

Sun., 29    went to the Sons of Vettrans.  Aunt (Debbie) & Uncle (ben) came out here   More creative parentheses. Henry, Ashton’s father, was a Civil War “vettran.”

Sat., 28   Sold wood to Mrs Ryan.  Mrs Garna, Mr. GU & Mr Goodrich  Paid the old niger $2.00 When I was a child in the 1950’s, the vocabulary of many Vermonters–and their attitude–was still appalling and unenlightened.
