Sat., 28 A very dark day. Make 6 apple pies. Raining P.M. Bath, mending, &tc. Ruth packing her trunk. She takes supper with Ashton. Pearl goes home.
Fri., 27 Anna does not get up until dinner, also Helen comes down to dinner, better. Letters from Ella Tullar & John W. Tracy. Ruth goes down town. Pearl stays with us.
Thurs., 26 Helen sick all day. Anna & Grace help a little at Hattie’s. Pearl comes up to stay all night. Housework all day except a little mending. Gifts from Jane Sargent Ruth receives some galax leaves from Georgia.
