Sat., 23 A very good day, much warmer. Tuttle goes to Vergennes & returns. Letter from Helen, that she will not be home until next week. Poor Helen! Ruth & Henrietta fish & I mend stockings.
Wed., 20 Starts in to rain as Tuttle goes to V. and rains all day. He does not return. Ruth catches fish for our dinner. I work on my gingham dress, putting on some hand stitches.
Wed, 1 went fishing with father down the the (sic) Creek
Thurs., May 19 Went a fishing and catched six rock Bass. Paid for Help 1.30
Fri., 28 Mend & commence sleeves for Helen’s green dress. Grace comes home. Boys go fishing.
Tues., 3 Bake &tc. Attend D.A.R. at Mrs Hindes. Enjoy the afternoon very much. Iron in the evening. Ladies Aid at the church P.M. Grace comes for a call with Mr Farr. Tuttle brings a lot of fish.
