Wed., 2  A perfectly lovely day. Grace goes to Long Pond with the Russells to chaperone a party of girls. I get busy & paint the kitchen floor in strips. Write Helen & Jeanette in ans. to theirs.

Tues., 6   Dumas finishes the pantry & puts in the day in different rooms. We paint the sides of the Pantry floor, putting every thing into the kitchen.
